About St. James

St. James is a small community-based tennis club located in the heart of The Glebe, Ottawa. Our members are young, old and in-between, and enjoy combining tennis with a relaxed and sociable club atmosphere.

St. James has 4 hard courts, a clubhouse and lights for nighttime play. We offer a range of activites including individual and group lessons, competitive leagues, club tournaments, and "round robins" where members can just turn up and get a game.

The social aspect of tennis is a big part of St. James, and there are a number of special events throughout the season. We also have a strong emphasis on tennis for families and children, including free activities for junior members and a range of lessons and tenns camps. Our professional coaches are committed and energetic, and we have a small team of staff who look after the day-to-day running of the club. Club management is undertaken by our volunteer executive committee.

In 2010 the official St. James season runs from May 1 until September 12 although we will continue playing for as long as the weather is good. We hope you will join us!
